Unique to these models is the Barlow zoom system in the eyepiece: With a retractable additional lens, the magnification can be continuously adjusted up to 2x during visual observation, allowing for magnifications from 40x to 1600x with 3 objectives and 2 interchangeable wide-field eyepieces.

The Bresser Junior student microscope features an adjustable LED for transmitted and reflected light, including a filter disk with color filters and apertures. This allows for optimal lighting adjustments at all times. With the additional reflected light illumination, it is also possible to microscope objects that are not transparent, such as leaves, small insects, and much more. This makes it particularly easy to get started with microscopy.

The power supply is provided by batteries (three AA type), enabling microscopy even without a nearby power outlet. The accessories already include permanent slides and 5 empty slides and cover slips for making your own preparations. Additionally, a dissection kit, consisting of a microcut, a knife, tweezers, a rod, and a tube, is included in the set.
