Product images are shown on a white background.

By default, they are used in 1:1 aspect ratios, exceptions should be avoided.

#Article and teaser images

Article and teaser images usually show the products in an extended context. They are mainly used for magazine pages. Videos can also be integrated as teaser images.

The image content is defined by the respective authors on the marketing dept. following CI guidelines.

The default aspect ratio for teaser images is 2:1, there is also a secondary 1:1 ratio for mobile and feeds.

#Illustrations

To make our stores look more lively and less sterile, illustrations are used. They are used at certain touch points for example at checkout, upselling or warranty.

Each illustration is developed by our graphics department and follows the applicable branding guidelines.

#Profile and author pictures

User profile pictures are always shown as a circle. Users have the possibility to add a personal user picture to their account and replace a predefined avatar.

Author pictures follow the same principle as the profile pictures of the users. In addition, community managers have an additional Digitec or Galaxus badge.

We avoid insetting other imagery in a circle.

#Gamification badges

Badges are awards users receive due to their interaction with our shops. These illustrations are only used on the community pages and have a different style from other illustrations.
